Receipt for token money paid when booking a property. Free, no sign-up, and everything stays in your browser.
A token (bayana) receipt records a small amount paid by a buyer to a seller to reserve a property while the full agreement is prepared. It should state who paid whom, how much, for which property, what happens to the money if the deal does not go ahead, and by when the sale is to be completed.
This is made in your browser and nothing you type is stored on our server. Aadhaar, PAN and transaction numbers are left blank for you to write by hand. For larger deals, move quickly to a proper agreement to sell.
Who signs: Seller (signs, receives the token), Buyer, and two adult witnesses.
It depends on what you write. This template lets you choose between full refund if the sale fails for a reason not caused by the buyer, or leaving it to the agreement to sell. Whatever you choose, write it clearly before paying.
Cash payments of ₹2 lakh or more are restricted under the Income Tax Act. For any significant token amount use bank transfer or cheque.
